Crochet cover from wool remnants

Turns out there was one more post from years ago waiting to be published.
The couch cover.
I've left it back at the house because the couch looked much better covered. :) Since then I've crocheted a new one, also from remnants.

My dearest grandmother used to knit socks. Unfortunately she cannot do it any more and what is worse I, sadly, never learned to do so.

I think it was a year and a half ago that she asked me if I wanted to use her wool remnants to make something. I took them and last winter crocheted this bed cover, now used as a a couch cover.

I'm so grateful she taught me how to crochet. :-)

Crochet slippers

Blame it on Pinterest :-))

Material: wool remnants
Pattern: just followed what I saw on Pinterest. (Type  in wool slippers and you will be flooded with super cute images!)

Actually, my slippers turned up a bit big so I had to add strings.

I wear them all the time!

Now go and make yourself a pair!
It is quick and easy, and great to finally put those wool remnants to good use.

I'd love to crochet me a pair of colorful Mary Janes.
Probably next winter. :-)

Ciao!

P.S.

Oooooh, it is sunny outside!!!!
:-DDDD

Crocheted shawl

Three days ago I went out in short sleeves. Then it rained. In some regions it snowed!
Today we had to turn on the heating.
My brain can't get used to the cold, yet. Two days are too short of a time to get used to this kind of change.
How are the flowers in your garden coping? And you?

This week I chose a crochet intermezzo and made this beautiful shawl. Right on time for the chill! This nice purple wool has been waiting since last winter to be used. And in all truth it was only the high date that inspired me to crochet!

Oh, I know,I know. I could have styled it better...

I found this pattern on the web. I like the 3D quality of the petals.

Are you also thinking about curling up in something warm with a cup of tea and a cookie? With a nice movie to relax, perhaps? It is Sunday evening after all. Oh, by the way, yesterday we saw Midnight in Paris and it is absolutely wonderful! If you haven't seen this movie yet, do it as soon as you can! And, oh, the fashion! I have to see it again just to take a better look at those 20's dresses!
